This piece was an illustration done to explore the imagery of God as a great white eagle. There were many directions we thought of to represent these scene, but settled on one in which Chazah, the large eagle, descends from a heavenly atmosphere down to one of its perches, which stud the ethereal cloudscape. Other birds—eagles of the day and owls of the night—flock around, basking in the radiant glory of Chazah. Verses of inspiration:

Matthew 23:27 – “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you were not willing!"

Isaiah 40:31 – "but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."
