This is a snippet of the a wall in my studio, filled with dozens of sketches from over the years. Beyond being satisfying to look at, this serves pragmatically as a reminder of my abilities and interests on days when the flame feels dwindled (Plus, it keeps pencil drawings from degrading and smearing within my sketchbooks). Creating a space where I'm literally surrounded by creativity has become a necessary part of my art practice.
